Bio: My journey as a fitness instructor began sometime around 2010, when I fell in love with a kickboxing class called Turbo Kick. I loved the music, the choreography, and the fact that I didn't even feel like I was working out when I took the class! Turbo Kick classes inspired me to become a certified fitness instructor. I became certified in Hip Hop Hustle in 2013, and within 2 months of teaching it, it was discontinued. It turned out to be a blessing in disguise, because when this happened, it challenged me to create a dance fitness class of my own design. Drawing from inspiration such as The Fitness Marshall, Club Fitz, Turn Up with Tanci, and Dance 2 Fit with Jessica, I began choreographing my own songs. I now have been teaching almost 6 years and have choreographed over 125 dances.
Class Type:
Turn Up Toledo- This class is a hip-hop inspired dance fitness class. The music ranges from pop, to R&B, to hip hop. It is for people of all ability levels (modifications and alternatives are provides on more difficult dance moves). Dance moves are combined with fitness moves (squats, burpees, planks, toning, etc...) for maximum calorie burn.
